The Sweet Darkness series
A series on black discharged and dyed 100% cotton. When I wander down a proverbial rabbit hole into the voyage creative art offers, I’m never certain who I might become on the other side. Every stroke of wax on the cotton is new, permanent and the experience will change me one way or another. Much like life when I am confronted with a challenge - sometimes I don’t recognize myself at the end of the journey. The Sweet Darkness series emerged after a difficult year where, in the end, I was able to look into that eye of the darkness and see a reflection of myself that was far greater than the one that looked out in the first place.
